I'm now working for Regenstrief Institute here in Indianapolis. Between starting a new job and helping my wife and our kids get transitioned into another year of school, I haven't had much time for writing or recreational software engineering. With the advent of winter (no more yardwork here in Indiana until late March), I hope this will change.
Regenstrief Institute is one of the leading medical records informatics research institutions, which makes it a very interesting environment. So far, I have worked with Perl, Java, XSLT, C# (reading only), VB6, VB.NET, and VBA/Access on Windows and Linux, as well as exposure to Oracle and VAX/VMS -- just the kind of variety I like. Regenstrief Institute delivers client-side software mainly in VB6 and Access (we're starting to move to VB.NET), but that leaves me lots of room for writing tools, most of which end up in Perl. I've also been investigating Kwiki on my own time, as it looks to become a highly-functional and extremely customizable Wiki system (Kwiki is already very usable, but it is still at v0.38).
